Dr. Annie Madison, a graduate from Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008, grew up in Floral Park, NY. There, she worked with horses at Belmont Racetrack as a hot-walker during her senior year of high school. She completed her undergraduate work at The State University of New York, Stony Brook. During her undergraduate years, Annie worked at a hunter/jumper barn, riding, caring for the horses and serving as a camp counselor.
During her veterinary education, she focused on large animal classes and worked as a student milker in Cornell’s dairy. After graduation, Annie continued her training at Ledgewood Equine Veterinary Clinic, for a one year internship program. There, she expanded her knowledge base and interests, namely in dentistry, reproduction, medicine, surgery, and lameness.
In 2009, Annie was very excited to join Starland Veterinary Services. She has enjoyed her years with the practice and is buying in as a partner.
On the personal front, Annie enjoys riding horses, running, triathlons, skiing, fixing up her 1850 Trumansburg home with her husband, Schuyler, and tending to her many four-legged children.
